Poetry Slam
at the Birch Wathen Lenox School

On February 11th, the Upper School students at the Birch Wathen Lenox School in New York City participated in their first Poetry Slam.

Using the rubric of repetition, ten groups of students wrote poems which were then judged by the following teachers: Betsy Witwer, Tim Donahue and Lara Russell. The first, second and third place poems can be viwed via the ideograms on the left.

To comment on these poems, or to reach the students to learn more about their other poetry projects, contact Roger Frary, Faculty Advisor for the school's poetry publication Open Minds
